  • Trick or Treat Activities
  • Mingus spent a lot of time preparing for the annual rodeo on 10/2. Several activities included horse barrel racing performed by peer at Mingus, a carnival with several games and prizes, and a barbeque to close the day. Some games included a blind folded three-legged race that staff competed in. During the rodeo a queen and princess will be selected from the seven candidates. The seven rodeo nominees submitted an essay base on why they thought that they would make a good candidate. The Valley houses made cotton candy to pass out while the girls were playing carnival games. Mingus welcomed several agencies, the local community and families to the 14th annual rodeo.
  • The Mountain Lions will be traveling to Phoenix to attend another schools homecoming football game and dance. The students will spend the day getting their hair and make-up done for the dance.
  • The Cross Country season came to an end and the team celebrated with a banquet. During this time, the team members went out to eat, received awards and trophies. The girls did a great job this season and made a lot of improvement from the first week of practice.
  • The Volleyball teamís season also came to an end this month. The coaches are very happy with the season and the progress the team made from their first game in September. The team will be planning a banquet in November to celebrate their hard work.
  • The students will finish the first quarter of school on October 3rd and have Fall Break the following week. The second quarter of school will start on October 13th.
  • Pinon Dorm won the BHOM (Best Home on Mountain) trophy the month of September. They will be planning their celebration party in October.
